Debi Hasky is a Panamanian-American illustrator and graphic design student at IED Barcelona.
Much of her work balances the celebration of girlhood and strong independent women, with the pressures imposed by their insecurities and anxieties. Debi’s illustrations are all primarily based on personal experiences, such as her struggles with body love and examining what it is to be a woman today.
Inspired by her own experiences of dealing with gender inequality and street harassment, her series "#CallOutCatCalls", won her a full scholarship to study at the Istituto Europeo Di Design (IED) in Barcelona, where she now resides.
Her work has been featured on Buzzfeed, The Huffington Post, Bustle, WeAreMitu, Cosmopolitan, Latina Magazine, Vivala, and NBC news, and she has also collaborated with Buzzfeed and Refinery29.
